The great, barren white Rann of Kutch has always been a land of vibrant and colourful handicrafts. A visit here ensures spectacular star gazing opportunities against the clear skies along with a chance to witness age old art forms from Textile Weaving, Block Printing, Bandhani (a tie-dye style of prints on fabrics), Pottery & Jewellery Making, Lippankaam (Painting on the mud walls of the huts) and more. Every village here has its own specialization.
This two day, one night itinerary includes recommendations on the best attractions, stay and restaurants in this region. Additionally, it’s a good idea to plan a trip around the months of the Rann Utsav (the Rann Festival) that takes place between November-Feb every year. Another festival to watch out for is the Uttarayan or Kite Festival held in January.

Travel consultant to Corporates and travel writer. Interestingly, my tryst with discovering new places began as early as when I was 20. For me everything comes from my highs of seeing new places, living and waking up to new sunrises. Traveling not like a tourist, but like a wanderer is what makes my travels different, while others seek security and confidence booking their trips with a tour, I prefer crafting my own travels. Having travelled to 25 different countries, I am your go-to person when you want to discover unknown countries/cities as a local and visit the touristy cities in a non-touristy way. Any country in the world you plan to go to, I can help you with the best travel itineraries and things to do!
If you are a family, couple or even traveling solo I can definitely help you chalk out the most constructive itinerary and include some undiscovered and very off beat places.
