What we enjoyed most about summers  during our school days, is something that we dread in adulthood as a parent, working professional, etc. Yes, we’re talking about summer vacations! As a parent, planning a vacation with the family is inevitable. As an unmarried working professional or as a DINK Family (DINK = Double Income No Kids), you are always under peer pressure to head out for an awesome vacation that can make everyone jealous.

2) Manali: It’s perhaps the destination of choice for couples going for a Honeymoon. It’s the perfect retreat for those who are looking for cooler pastures.

Best Time to visit: The months of May and June draw the largest number of tourists to Manali. It’s also the best time for adventure sports enthusiasts to engage in a wide range of activities. In-fact, in the month of May, a large number of devotees flock the Hadimba Devi Temple for an annual festival.  

Top 5 Places to see: Beas River, Hadimba Devi Temple, Solang Valley, Jogini Waterfalls, Club House.

Top 5 Things to do: Trekking, Hiking, Paragliding, Hot Sulphur Water Bath at Manikaran, Rafting.


3) Srinagar: The preferred destination for family and couples, Srinagar has been the favourite destination among domestic & foreign tourists alike. It’s in the heart of Kashmir Valley and is recognized for its beautiful lakes and gardens.  

Best Time to visit: Srinagar is known as the Summer Capital of the State of Jammu & Kashmir. It’s best visited anytime after April (till September) and the temperatures would be a pleasant 15 degrees to 30 degrees Celsius.

Best Time to visit: The best time to visit is between April and June. The place sees a lot of trekking enthusiasts during this time. The temperature remains pleasant between 20 to 35 degrees Celsius.
